Our Administrators

Dr. Guerra is the Principal of William James Middle School.  She brings 25 years of experience as the former Assistant Principal of North Side High School and Paschal High School. Principal Guerra joined Fort Worth ISD in 1999 as an administrative assistant.
 
From there, she became a Reading and AVID teacher.  Principal Guerra has a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Wesleyan University and a Master's Degree in Education Administration from Lamar University. She finished her Doctorate Degree from Tarleton State University.
 
Principal Guerra has made education a family affair. Her husband and two older sons all work in FWISD.

Mr. Hall

Mr. Ben Hall is our new Assistant Principal and comes to us from Leonard MS.  He has a background in music, coaching, leadership, and is a data enthusiast. He believes everyone should be a lifelong learner, and he is forever looking for new and interesting challenges and opportunities in education.

Vice Principal Lela Barksdale returns to WJMS and she is looking forward to meeting you.  Ms. Barksdale has an instructional background and is looking to implement new programs that will benefit all students in our new block schedule.  She is also looking for ways to increase attendance and encourages all students to look into sports, clubs, and our afterschool programs.
